Only the newer .docx format is supported. If your file is an older .doc, open it in Word or Google Docs and use "Save As" / "Download" to save a .docx copy first.
Does the Word file get uploaded to a server?
No. The .docx is read entirely in your browser to extract the text — nothing is uploaded anywhere.
What if my Word document isn't formatted with clear question numbers?
The parser looks for common numbering styles like "1.", "Q1)", "A.", and "(A)". After import, the text lands in the same editable review step as pasted text, so you can quickly fix anything that wasn't picked up correctly before generating.
